As the Director of Development, Steve will work hand in hand with Mike Prochelo, President/CEO of Rainbow Acres, to develop and execute innovative strategies to achieve the organization’s fundraising goals. His expertise will be instrumental in cultivating a strong base of financial support through major gifts, corporate sponsorships, events, and grants. With Steve on board, Rainbow Acres is poised to reach new heights in providing comprehensive care and enriching the lives of its residents.
Steve Trejo brings a wealth of diverse experiences to his new role. A native of Phoenix, Arizona, he holds a degree from the prestigious Arizona State University. Steve began his professional journey in law enforcement with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office before transitioning into a successful career with The Walt Disney Company, where he honed his customer-focused approach to sales leadership. Later, he played pivotal roles in renowned organizations such as Marriott and Equity Residential, gaining invaluable operational and sales expertise in the temporary housing industry. Over the past two decades, Steve has dedicated his efforts to supporting the senior living space, advocating for person-centered care, and ensuring the dignity and well-being of seniors on their aging journey.
Steve’s passion for serving others extends beyond his professional life. With an unwavering commitment to giving back to the community, he has dedicated 25 years to volunteering for esteemed organizations such as the Fiesta Bowl, Easter Seals, and the Leukemia Society. Moreover, Steve’s compassion and desire to make a difference led him to spearhead a non-profit organization focused on providing eye and dental care to seniors in need. Through these experiences, Steve discovered his true passion for empowering individuals and keeping their needs at the forefront.
Throughout his career, Steve honed his operational and sales skills. However, it was during his over 20-year tenure in the Senior Living space that Steve found his true calling – advocating for person-centered care, dignity, and ensuring that residents remain the central focus.
