Current Openings

Caregiver – Caregivers have primary responsibility for providing the highest quality of care to enhance the quality of life for the Residents/Ranchers of Rainbow Acres. In fulfilling this mission, the successful Caregiver will utilize all the programs, services, and resources of Rainbow Acres efficiently; participate in annual goal setting with Health & Wellness, Learning Center, and Vocational Directors/Coordinators; and then review and monitor each Rancher’s progress toward fulfilling those goals.

Life Skills Educator – Our Life Skills Educator is responsible for ensuring the quality of education for all Ranchers within the Rainbow Acres Academy. This role focuses on building confidence, skills, and education with the Project Discovery Leading Edge Curriculum as its foundation. The educator fosters a safe and fun environment while designing classes and activities that drive the achievement of the Ranchers’ goals. This is more than a job — it’s a mission to serve with compassion, purpose, and excellence.

Landscaping and Groundskeeping Assistant – Responsible for performing routine landscaping and grounds maintenance to ensure the ranch remains safe, clean, and visually appealing. Duties include mowing, trimming, irrigation system upkeep, debris removal, and other related tasks.

Health & Wellness EMT – Health Aide – The Health & Wellness Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)/Health Aide assists nursing personnel in the provision of basic care for Residents (Ranchers) and necessary unit tasks and functions in compliance with the policies, procedures, and applicable health care standards and the AZ Department of Health. They provide outstanding patient care and support for Ranchers on a daily basis under the supervision of a nurse. Fitness & Recreation Educator – Our Fitness & Recreation Educator plays a vital role in encouraging healthy lifelong habits for our Residents/Ranchers through the creation of a robust fitness program. The educator fosters a safe and fun environment while designing classes and activities that drive the achievement of the Ranchers’ goals. This is more than a job — it’s a mission to serve with compassion, purpose, and excellence.

Driver – The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services to residents (Ranchers) of Rainbow Acres, in accordance with the standards set by the organization. As a member of the resident services team, the Driver serves as a role model, demonstrating the values of the organization and contributing to a supportive and respectful community. He/she works within the guidelines, policies, and mission of Rainbow Acres to ensure timely and secure transportation for Ranchers, while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Hiring Process

Quality of care, trustworthiness, and safety are the hallmarks of Rainbow Acres. Prior to hiring, each prospective candidate will be required to:

  • Pass the following requirements to our satisfaction:
    • Thorough reference checks
    • A background check that may include verification of prior employment, education, criminal records, motor vehicle, and license records
    • A drug screening. Rainbow Acres is a smoke-free, drug-free workplace, including, but not limited to, tobacco and marijuana. Random drug testing is conducted regularly.
    • Qualify for and obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint clearance through the State of Arizona
