Rainbow Acres calls Family & Friends Weekend “our favorite time of year,” and for anyone wondering what life at the Ranch is really like, it may be the best possible introduction. Family, friends, and guests are invited to this annual weekend. If you have recently reached out to us, or you are simply curious about the community, coming to see it in person is a natural next step. Here is what to expect.
Walking Tours of the Campus
The weekend includes Open House walking tours of the campus. It’s a chance to see the place the Ranchers call home and to get a feel for the community rather than reading about it from afar.
Rancher Presentations and Program Demonstrations
You’ll also find Rancher presentations and program demonstrations across the weekend. In 2025, that included a riding demonstration from our horseback riding program, one of the ways Ranchers share what they’ve been learning and working on.
Fun and Festive Celebrations
Some of the warmest moments come around the table. The weekend features fun and festive meal celebrations, along with our annual Talent Show, a highlight that brings the whole community together.
Renewing Friendships
More than a schedule of events, the weekend is a homecoming. As we like to say, we look forward to seeing our families and renewing our dear friendships. Longtime families and first-time visitors share the same days, the same meals, and the same celebrations.
